ABOUT WAYPOINT
MOST DESIGNERS THINK IN PIXELS.
I THINK IN CUSTOMERS.
Waypoint is one person -- Will Benhardt -- doing work I believe in for businesses I respect.
Design without strategy is just decoration.
Your brand isn’t a logo. Your website isn’t a digital brochure. They’re the first conversation you have with every potential customer — before you ever pick up the phone, before they walk through your door, before they decide whether to call you or your competitor.
A brand is a promise. Your website is that promise made visible. When they don’t match the quality of your work, customers feel the gap — even if they can’t name it. They just don’t call.
That’s what Waypoint is built to fix. Not just make things look better — make them work better. Every design decision here is a business decision first.
I didn't come up through design school.
I grew up watching my dad and grandfather run a garden center and nursery. I spent years in business development, helping a suite of companies grow — learning how businesses win customers, lose customers, and how perception shapes all of it.
When the traditional path ended, I didn’t go looking for another one. I built this instead.
Waypoint is self-taught, self-built, and completely intentional. I learned design the same way most of my clients learned their trade — by doing the work, making mistakes, and getting better because the alternative wasn’t acceptable.
You're not getting a designer. You're getting a business person who designs.
Most designers will make your brand look great. That’s the baseline. What I bring on top of that is years of sitting in rooms where business decisions get made — understanding what moves customers, what builds trust, and what quietly costs you work before you ever know it happened.
When I look at your website or your brand, I’m not asking “does this look good?” I’m asking “does this work?” Those are different questions. And knowing the difference is what makes Waypoint worth your time.
Sometimes you need more than a new logo.
Most clients come to Waypoint for a website or a brand refresh. Some stay because they realize the conversation they actually needed was about strategy — why their messaging isn’t landing, what’s holding their business back from the next level, how to position themselves in a crowded market.
Those conversations happen too. Not as a formal service with a price tag — as part of doing this work the right way. If you need someone to think alongside you about your business, not just execute a deliverable, that’s something Waypoint does.
